My experience spans cross-industry from healthcare, supply chain logistics, child welfare, employee experience, and more. I have consulted with clients and worked as an embedded member of a product team. The scope of my project work is related to optimizing the customer experience, enhancing employee performance, modernizing legacy technology, and designing strategies for managing research operations.

How I Work

I like to use the IDEO product development framework to illustrate the approach I take in my work and how I think about my role.  

I work at the intersection of desirability and viability primarily. I guide designers to create with the end user in mind while supporting business needs. I think of myself as a hybrid UX researcher and service designer.

I maintain solution feasibility in mind by bringing in other stakeholder groups to help with the prioritization of research insights for technical and organizational feasibility of implementation.

  • Senior UX Researcher @ IBM iX

    April 2022 — Present
    • Strategized and executed research to inform the future state of digital case management for the State of Arizona
    • Co-created a future state employee and customer digital experience blue print for supply chain logistics at Toyota
    • Created a research repository and ops management tracker for Toyota used by both client and IBM teammates
    • Collaborated with a team of IBM designers alongside designers from American Electric Power (AEP) to operationalize a best-in-class design services team at AEP

    April 2021 — April 2022
    • Collaborated on a team to enable IBM consultants (across eleven of IBM's strategic partnerships Adobe, AWS, SAP, etc.) to always be up to date on how to speak, behave, and engage consistently beyond their immediate domains
    • Strategized and co-facilitated design thinking workshops to accelerate planning and idea generation for leadership

    August 2019 — April 2021
    • Facilitated user interviews, remote usability testing, product benchmark testing, beta feedback, and stakeholder interviews to evaluate and explore user needs for a suite of clinical and financial healthcare software product
    • Collaborated with design, development, and product, to weave UX research into agile development, so that insights have greater impact through prioritization and planning
    • Guided product teams on user research best practices

    • Consulted with emergency departments on workflow improvement and recommended future practices through onsite workshops, meetings, and weekly WebEx sessions
